Bangkok Tokyo Architecture is an architectural studio exploring open-ended structures, notions of tolerance and temporality, and the thoughtful assembly of everyday elements. Blurring the boundaries between the ordinary and the exceptional, BTA works internationally across practice and education. The practice was featured in the monograph 2G No.96 and received international recognition, including the AR Emerging Award 2023 (Highly Commended), the Rice University Spotlight Award 2024 (Winner), and the Lisbon Triennale Millennium bcp Début Award 2025 (Finalist).
Wtanya Chanvitan
Wtanya earned her Bachelor of Architecture from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi in Bangkok, Thailand and her Master of Architecture from Musashino Art University in Tokyo, Japan.
She has taught at the School of Architecture and Design, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi and currently teaches at the International Program in Design and Architecture, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok.
Takahiro Kume
Takahiro earned his Bachelor and Master of Architecture from Ritsumeikan University. He has experience working in various offices in Japan.
He has taught at the School of Architecture and Design, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi and currently teaches at Tokyo University of Science and the International Program in Design and Architecture at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok.
